About My Clients
As a counselor, I frequently encounter clients who face a myriad of challenges ranging from domestic violence and trauma to low self-esteem, identity issues related to their education and career, difficulties with parenting, depression, alcohol abuse, pet loss, anxiety, stress, immigration, and insomnia. Some clients also seek a secure and enjoyable environment to express themselves creatively through art and create lasting memories.
My Background and Approach
Finding a safe and supportive space is crucial to your wellbeing. You deserve to be heard and understood without judgment. Therapy can help you explore your feelings and overcome challenges. Whether you prefer traditional talk therapy or using art to express yourself, there are different approaches to suit your needs. Embracing imperfections and living according to your values can be achieved through Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). As a seasoned art therapist and teacher, I have worked with clients of all ages. My focus is on supporting families dealing with negative patterns, high conflict, and grief. I have also worked with substance abuse adults and children and family trauma-informed programs. Additionally, I am passionate about exploring the human-animal bond and helping clients through the challenging process of anticipatory and pet grief. My approach empowers you to build resilience and tap into your inner strength to navigate tough times.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that our clients have a wealth of knowledge from their own experiences. By working together, we can identify their unique values and strengths, and empower them to reach their goals and gain independence.
