About My Clients
I treat clients who are in need of medication management for anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, Autism, panic disorders, panic disorders, and alcohol and other substance use disorders. I treat clients who identify as members of the BIPOC community (Black, African American, Hispanic, Latinx, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander…etc) and the LGBTQ+ community. I also treat patients who may not identify within these communities but are allies to those who do as well.
My Background and Approach
I completed my undergraduate education at Howard University in Washington, DC where I earned my Bachelor’s of Nursing degree. After working in several nursing areas, I decided to return to school to advance my career in nursing and become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I completed my Masters of Nursing degree in 2013 and I’ve now been working as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for ten years. I consider myself a life long learner and earned my Doctor of Nursing degree in 2020. In addition to treating clients, I am an Assistant Professor within the Mervyn M. Dymally College of Nursing at Charles R. Drew University of Science and Nursing. I have worked at the Los Angeles LGBT Community and other Non-profit mental health agencies throughout the Los Angeles area. I have also worked in the private practice setting.
