About My Clients
I have worked with people from all walks of life and all ages. No matter the reason, I can help you walk a path back to the center of your own health and happiness by providing you with the tools to move through whatever is holding you from being the best you possible. I use a collaborative approach that helps bring that much-needed balance in life.
My Background and Approach
The tools that I'll provide you with are ones I have been perfecting over my entire career of helping people just like you. My goal is to provide you at least five different tools and techniques you can carry with you at all times; so no matter where you go, you'll always have access to discreet exercises that can quickly create relief. I am direct and solution focused, but with compassion and understanding. You and I will work collaboratively to address your problems and we will start with what's going on right now, in this moment, as well as how to get control over your body and thoughts. I continue to attended trainings that teach leading edge techniques such as EMDR and Hypnosis. Together we will address your needs to help walk you to a better tomorrow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity; I believe everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I believe the reason we develop mental health problems is due to unhealthy learned behaviors we picked up throughout our journeys on this earth. That means I truly believe you can unlearn the unhealthy behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. I don't just believe all that - I lived it. As a child, I experienced some not-so-great stuff from my parents, which resulted in my having severe anxiety and other problems. Through my own therapy, I learned how to handle my problems and move them it so they didn't have control over me. What you see is what you get with me. Therapy is more than just two people sitting down to discuss problems... it's also a relationship forged through mutual trust.
