About My Clients
I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, PTSD, grief, stress, and major life transitions. I especially value serving Latino individuals, veterans, and underserved populations in the Rio Grande Valley. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to each client’s needs. I strive to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to build healthier, more meaningful lives.
My Background and Approach
I am Kenneth Balboa, a Licensed Master Social Worker based in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, where I was born and raised. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a concentration in practice with Latino individuals, families, and communities. My background gives me a deep understanding of the cultural strengths and systemic challenges that shape the people I serve. In my clinical work, I support children, adolescents, adults, and veterans navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder, grief, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I integrate CBT, ACT, SFBT, ERP, and Family-Focused Therapy, tailoring treatment to each person’s needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. I strive to create a safe, culturally responsive space where people feel heard, respected, and empowered to build change.
