About My Clients
I’m passionate about supporting children, teens, and adults in developing a deeper connection with themselves and the natural world around them. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and free to explore what is arising within you, as well as the relationships that shape your life. My goal is to offer a grounded, compassionate presence where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their process.
My Background and Approach
My practice is grounded in person-centered, relational cultural approach, and experiential approach in therapy. I view counseling as a collaborative process that honors each person’s unique cultural background, lived experiences, and inner strengths. I also integrate ecotherapy principles into my work. I believe that relationships with the natural world can offer powerful opportunities for reflection, healing, and empowerment. Time spent in nature can help foster compassion, regulation, curiosity, and a deeper sense of connection—to ourselves and the world around us. In sessions, I often incorporate ecotherapy practices and mindfulness-based strategies to support awareness of both internal and external experiences. Together, we may explore ways to build emotional regulation skills, strengthen self-understanding, and cultivate a sense of curiosity and compassion toward oneself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Before pursuing my career in counseling, I spent over three and a half years working with horses and people as a wrangler in Wyoming and at a therapeutic equestrian center in Oregon. These experiences shaped my appreciation for creating safe environments where people can learn, grow, and build confidence in both new and familiar spaces. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time outdoors and moving my body with family and friends. In every season, you can often find me exploring the mountains or the coast. Some of my favorite activities include backpacking, camping, running, rock climbing, horseback riding, and surfing. I enjoy a good book and hanging out with my cat, Goose, when it comes to rest and relaxation.
