My Background and Approach
I earned by Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Baker College and then my Master's Degree in Social Work from Saginaw Valley State University. I participate in additional trainings so I am continuing to grow, and learn new skills and advancements. I have years of experience where I have gained insights in treating many issues: ADHD, Anger Management, Anxiety, DBT Therapy, Depression, Eating Disorders, Family Therapy, just to name a few. Sessions will include exploring past and current experiences. Together, we will develop tools to enable you to learn skills where you can be successful. It's important that you find someone that really listens and understands you and your struggles. We will take the journey together to overcome hurdles and celebrate successes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Everyone deserves to feel safe. My goal is to provide that safe space where you feel comfortable to express your feelings, fears, and anxieties. I believe that building a positive relationship is crucial for effective results. Therapy is a journey, with various stages. As we move through each stage, it's important that you build confidence in your new skills. From working with patients experiencing eating disorders, ADHD, young mothers with children and the elderly struggling with life transitional changes, my goal is to see patients become successful in handling difficult issues.
