About My Clients
I specialize in the following; pre-marital and relationship counseling, pre-teen/teen behavior, women's issues and grief counseling. I also assist children and adults of all ages with anxiety/depression, stress, grief, loneliness, overuse of technology, lack of motivation, social skills, employment challenges, transitions, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I utilize evidence based practices as well as a practical, yet holistic approach to help people discover and re-discover tools and coping skills to assist with achieving their goals. I have a well rounded background having worked in public schools systems, hospitals, community health agencies and military and veteran facilities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people seek therapy when they reach the point of making statements such as, "I need to change", "I'm always sad", "I'm always angry", "I need help understanding why I feel this way", "I can't succeed in school", and "I don't know if I want to be in this relationship". In my opinion, everyone has inherent strengths but sometimes have difficulty accessing the power they have within themselves to succeed in relationships and life's challenges due to broken narratives, hurt and trauma. Therapy can be the missing link to help people heal and live healthy and productive lives.
