About My Clients
Kendra provides therapy to clients ages 6 to 29 years old. Her goal is to help children/teens & young adults remove barriers such as mental illness & trauma to help give them a healthy foundation to accomplish their goals throughout life despite their current circumstances. Kendra specializes in working with people who struggle with trauma, codependency, and attachment issues. Kendra has experience in working with personality disorders, mood disorders, and depression/anxiety.
My Background and Approach
Although she utilizes various therapy models to best address clients’ concerns, Kendra describes herself as an attachment-based therapist with a belief that the relationship that infants/children have with their primary caregivers is the foundation of relationships that they will have with others throughout their adulthood. Kendra’s goal is to help clients build or rebuild healthy attachment styles that will allow them to form healthy emotional & physical relationships as adults. Kendra also uses DBT and interpersonal approaches to best address clients' concerns, as there is no 'one size fits all' to therapy as all clients are unique.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Kendra aims to serve as a reminder to youth that a positive life after pain & frustration is possible with the right tools & coping skills. Her goal is to remind clients that their strength & value comes from within. Kendra believes in forming a collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients to help them take an active role in their healing.
