About My Clients

You’re probably here because you’re feeling stuck. You might feel disconnected and anxious in your relationships. You might be tired of holding it all together and relying only on yourself. Maybe you have no idea what’s wrong, but you just feel "off." I get it. Being human can feel confusing and exhausting. It’s a lot to handle, but you don’t have to do it alone. In therapy, I provide a warm, challenging setting where we can work together to build the life you want.

My Background and Approach

No single approach to therapy works for everyone—that’s why I draw from multiple therapeutic perspectives and customize my work according to each client’s unique strengths, experiences and background. The foundation of my work is psychodynamic, which means we’ll explore your past, your relationships, and your patterns of behavior together, gaining insight into how we can help you move forward. If you read ‘psychodynamic’ and are wondering if I’m going to be a blank-faced Freudian who just says “mmhmm,” don’t worry—I show up as a present, engaged, real person every time we meet. I’m also interested in attachment, neuroscience, and the impact of trauma on the body, and incorporate that knowledge into my work as well. The most important thing you need to know is that my style is collaborative. I value your feedback and will regularly check in to see if we’re on the right path. My goal is to make this process work for *you.*

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that the ability to live well is rooted in relationships—both to ourselves and others. Our life experiences can impact our sense of self and ability to connect, often in ways that we are unaware of. As a result, we may find ourselves feeling frustrated, disconnected, lonely or anxious, and not fully understand why. This experience of “stuckness” looks different for everyone. As your therapist, my job is to help you figure out what you need—and how to get it—so that you can build a life of greater ease, connection, and joy.
