About My Clients
Is your mind plagued with worries about starting college, a new job, becoming an adult, or even making a career change? Do you find yourself being anxious about things that are out of your control? Anxiety can be overwhelming and debilitating. Solution-focused practices can help mitigate anxiety significantly, and I look forward to helping you to gain back control.
My Background and Approach
Over the years, I've collected several tools to help people like you. In particular, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a tool that I use the most. In a typical SFBT session with me; we would define what you would like to gain from our work together. For instance, if you said you would like to become less anxious. We would talk about your anxiety instances from the past, present, and future and what resources you used. You would be tasked with noticing times when your anxiety is least present. By focusing more on what it's like when the anxiety is pretty close to being non-existent; you will be able to gain control of your anxiety.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My philosophy is that everyone has the innate qualities to help them to make changes to transform their lives, particularly their thinking and approach to things. My job as a therapist is to support my clients with unwavering hope. I believe through by asking one question at a time; I am able to delicately guide clients to those "Ah Ha" moments which often lead to obtaining their best hopes/outcomes!
