About My Clients
I work with couples who care about each other but feel stuck in the same arguments, disconnected, or unsure how to get back on the same team. You may struggle with communication, intimacy, trust, parenting stress, or major relationship transitions. I also work with individuals who want to better understand their relationship patterns, emotional needs, and ways of connecting.
My Background and Approach
My work is grounded primarily in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based approach to couples therapy. Rather than focusing only on communication skills, we slow down the patterns that take over when things get hard and look at what each person is feeling, protecting, or needing underneath the reaction. I’m active and collaborative in session. I may help slow a conversation down, put language to what is happening emotionally, or help partners share something in a way the other person can actually hear. I also integrate Gottman-informed tools when practical skills are useful. My goal is not perfect communication. It’s helping couples understand their cycle, feel more secure with each other, and create more connection, responsiveness, and trust.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in showing up with realness, warmth, and curiosity. I care deeply about helping people untangle the stories and patterns that keep them stuck so they can live with more freedom and self-trust. My work is grounded in compassion and authenticity. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but I do believe in the healing power of being seen and understood. I value equity, inclusivity, and respect for all identities and experiences. I’m committed to creating a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. Outside of my work, I care about supporting mental health awareness, gender equity, and access to therapy for parents and caregivers.
