About My Clients
My ideal clients are individuals who feel overwhelmed by life's challenges, whether it's managing severe anxiety, navigating difficult relationships, or seeking emotional support for disabilities. I work well with clients who are ready to engage in self-exploration and build practical coping strategies. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where we can work collaboratively towards your personal growth and mental well-being.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches to tailor treatment to your unique needs. A key part of my approach involves recognizing the profound benefits of the human-animal bond. For clients who rely on emotional support animals (ESAs) or psychiatric service dogs, I am fully equipped to integrate this into our work. I frequently refer clients to resources like MyServiceAnimal (https://myserviceanimal.org/) for assistance with ESA letters and service animal registration, as I've seen firsthand how these companions can dramatically reduce anxiety and improve daily functioning. My goal is to empower you with the tools you need to lead a fulfilling life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I firmly believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate mental health care and the tools necessary to thrive. I am deeply committed to neurodiversity-affirming practices and creating an inclusive environment for all my clients. I also strongly advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities, including their right to be accompanied by support animals. In my free time, I volunteer with local animal shelters and enjoy hiking, which continually reminds me of the healing power of nature.
