About My Clients

My ideal clients are neurodivergent individuals (9+) and couples who want to embrace their strengths rather than be “fixed.” You may face ADHD, anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles and want a therapist who sees you beyond labels. If you value authenticity, humor, creativity, and evidence-based tools, and you’re ready to build a meaningful, resilient life true to who you are, we’ll be a great fit.

My Background and Approach

I’m Kelvin, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Geek Therapy Certified, and Gottman Level 2 trained. My background combines clinical expertise with lived experience as an ADHDer, giving me a unique perspective on the challenges and strengths that come with neurodivergence. I see therapy as a collaborative process rooted in understanding rather than fixing. My approach is person-centered and existential, providing a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore struggles and discover their strengths. I integrate evidence-based tools, Gottman Method techniques for couples, and creative strategies drawn from philosophy, fitness, and geek culture. This blend helps me connect with clients who think outside the box and value authenticity. At home, my wife, kids, and pets keep me grounded, reminding me of the importance of balance and connection—values I bring into every session.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe every person has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and connection. Struggles like anxiety, ADHD, depression, or relationship conflict do not define who you are—they are challenges that can be understood and navigated. I reject the idea that people need to be “fixed” and instead see therapy as a space to uncover strengths, embrace authenticity, and create meaning. Humor, creativity, and curiosity are essential tools in this process, alongside evidence-based practices. I believe relationships—whether with family, partners, or community—are central to well-being, and that fostering compassion for ourselves deepens our ability to connect with others. I also believe balance matters: the same way I draw strength from philosophy, bodybuilding, reading, and geek culture, I encourage clients to lean into the passions and practices that give life richness. Ultimately, I see therapy as an adventure of self-discovery and resilience.
