About My Clients
My ideal client embodies a profound commitment to self-discovery, growth, and holistic well-being. As a dedicated social worker with a private practice, my passion lies in fostering transformative mental health journeys, specifically through the lens of somatic release. At the core of my ideal client is an individual who recognizes the interconnectedness of mind and body—a person keenly aware that the physical and emotional weave together.
My Background and Approach
Through my private practice and experience within intensive in-home treatment, telehealth therapeutic services and within educational systems; I have engaged with clients with complex trauma, navigating grief, codependency, sex and love addictions along with other areas of addiction. I have worked with families and children & teens with challenging behaviors including clients with ASD and other neurotypical behaviors. I specialize in mindfulness and cultivate a practice that emphasizes the importance of a body-mind-spirit connection through movement, meditation, yoga and talk therapy. The humanistic, relational, psychodynamic and trauma-informed approach are intertwined within my practice. I am certified in level 1 Brainspotting technique addressing traumatic activation within the body.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe strongly in advocating for the rights of all humans and I aim to deconstruct white supremacist tendencies and norms through restorative, reflective, culturally-responsive, trauma-informed, and a social justice oriented lens. Having experienced the release and ongoing healing that comes with embodied therapy, I encourage a process that develops through an honest, thoughtful relationship between myself and my clients.
