About My Clients
Finding the right therapist, and most importantly - someone you can trust - can be challenging. The counseling relationship is an opportunity for you to explore options in a safe environment. You are accepted here & YOU are the greatest expert in your own life. My role is to help you listen to that authentic & intuitive voice in order to bring about change.
My Background and Approach
Although experiencing change can be uncomfortable at times, it is my goal to guide you in this process and establish a foundation of respect and trust where we collaborate to achieve a desired outcome. I specialize in LGBTQIA issues with a focus on TGNC persons & am an EMDRIA trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) provider. EMDR can help those struggling with PTSD & trauma, panic attacks & anxiety, the belief they aren't good enough, dysphoria, and feelings of worthlessness. The best part is that EMDR puts you in control of your healing. It is my wish to work beside you, gently challenge, and encourage you to restore your physical, emotional & mental well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a strong ally & advocate, passionate about various social issues. This is put into action in my practice and personal life from animal rights, human rights, and other worldly concerns. All of our counselors at Associates in Health Psychology are inclusive providers.
