About My Clients
Maybe you've done a lot of self-reflection. You understand where some of your anxiety, relationship patterns, or emotional reactions come from. You may have even tried therapy before. And yet, something still feels stuck. You might find yourself overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, struggling with boundaries, feeling disconnected from yourself, or repeating patterns you desperately want to change. Sometimes knowing why isn't enough to create the change you're looking for.
My Background and Approach
I work with adults navigating complex trauma, PTSD, attachment wounds, anxiety, and the lasting effects of difficult or overwhelming experiences. My approach is warm, collaborative & deeply grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. We'll work together to understand what has shaped you and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have gotten lost along the way. I specialize in EMDR and IFS-informed EMDR and also draw from somatic and ACT approaches. Healing isn't simply about talking through what happened. It's about helping your mind and body experience something different in the present. Our work may involve making sense of old patterns, building a greater sense of safety within yourself, processing experiences that still feel emotionally charged, and developing a more compassionate relationship with the parts of you that learned to survive. My goal isn't to help you become a different person, it's to help you feel more at home in yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a strong ally & advocate, passionate about various social issues. This is put into action in my practice and personal life from animal rights, human rights, and other worldly concerns. All of our counselors at Associates in Health Psychology are inclusive providers.
