About My Clients
I see clients who experience anxiety and depression, as well as individuals who experience issues with adjusting to new life circumstances. My specialty is chronic pain, illness and sport injury. I help individuals who want to learn better ways of coping with and managing their symptoms, while thriving in life.
My Background and Approach
I use a positive strengths-based approach to therapy that increases self-worth and self-esteem while decreasing depression and anxiety symptoms. I help clients identify their values in life in order to live a more fulfilled life despite their life circumstances. I also utilize biofeedback with clients who experience chronic pain and/or anxiety in order to calm the central nervous system and increase a more relaxed state. These modalities allow the client to take control of their lives and manage their symptoms effectively in order to live a more fulfilled life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally value empathy, compassion, and understanding. I believe that individuals need connection, and are striving to be understood and heard. My practice encompasses these values and strives to make every client feel safe, heard, and understood. I believe the client knows themselves better than anyone else and therefore they are in the drivers seat with psychotherapy. I am a partner on your therapeutic journey helping to navigate the road ahead. I feel passionately about health and sport psychology. I have personal experience with sport injury and chronic pain which propels me to help individuals experiencing these unfortunate factors. This personal experience better allows me to help clients and understand their experiences.
