About My Clients
My clients tend to be people who have a number of different life circumstances, but are feeling stuck or struggling to make sense of circumstances in their life. I specialize with anxiety and depression, crisis intervention, spiritual issues, older adult populations, and emotional regulation. I see adolescents, adults, and couples. My goal is to empower each of my clients to be able to address their stressors and to create meaning and purpose to lead a more fulfilled life.
My Background and Approach
I utilize different therapeutic approaches in the counseling room such as existentialism, attachment-based, DBT, and family systems to help bring greater clarity into yourself and systems you are a part of. My background is in crisis intervention and inpatient behavioral health treatment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that humans are meaning-making creatures, part of the process in counseling is to continually draw clients into deeper meaning of past and present circumstances. When faced with suffering, we have the opportunity to create incredible meaning. This affords us the opportunity to be agents in our own recovery. Meaning, that we are not just a by-product of our environment, but that we have the ability to utilize our environment and therefore creating an internal locust of control and re-empowering you.
