About My Clients
I have experience working with adults of all ages and use individualized approaches to therapy with techniques of cognitive behavioral and narrative therapies. I have experience working with marginalized groups and I work hard to accommodate their needs within therapy.
My Background and Approach
I am a graduate of Oklahoma City University with a Master in Education in Applied Behavioral Studies and an LPC-A under the supervision of Melinda Porter. I believe in treating the person and their needs rather than pathologizing the client's state and approaching every client individually. Whether you are struggling with a large change in your life or want to improve your overall mental health, I can help.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about social justice, equality, and LGBTQIA+ issues. My beliefs and passions inform my therapeutic approaches and I aim to be a better ally to all marginalized groups through my practice. I come from an acting background, so narrative therapy worked well with how I view people and their stories. I aim to help people through their development and growth and get their narrative to where they want it to be. I also am an avid animal lover outside of the office! I ride horses and compete in showjumping competitions when I'm not working and I always love hearing about clients' pets! I also have a cat that likes to visit during online sessions as well.
