About My Clients

Do you feel stuck in repeating patterns that just won't stop? Or, maybe you look like you have it all together on the outside, but inside there is anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional shut down? I work with couples, adult individuals, and teens who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and are ready for something new. I have a deep passion for couples wanting to deepen their emotional connection and intimacy. I also adore working with adult women & teen girls around identity, anxiety, and perfectionism.

My Background and Approach

I am a relational and experiential therapist who deeply believes in the resilience and goodness of humans. You don't have to be stuck in repeating patterns of disconnect and anxiety - there is hope and just because you can tolerate it, doesn't mean you have to continue enduring it. I use compassionate, trauma- informed, and feminist lenses for therapy. Primarily, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and somatic practices to help clients learn what their body and emotions are communicating, increase self-esteem and self-worth, increase compassion, and begin to process past attachment wounds and hurts. I am client-centered and enjoy collaborating with clients on their ongoing goals. I have advanced training in EFT and trauma training in IFS and EFT.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

"Splendid isolation is for planets, not people" - Sue Johnson, creator and founder of EFT. I believe that being witnessed and seen is one of the most powerful things we as humans can experience. I hold a deep belief and hope for all my clients that they can change and grow. Often what we have deemed as "problems" are ways we have adaptively learned to protect ourselves (how amazing!), but sometimes we need to let those protections go - which, can be really hard. I'm here with in that journey and am consistently in awe and inspired by the courage clients take to heal. It can be hard to reach out for help when we have been told to do it ourselves, so your act of bravery is seen as you search for the help you want. I love pop culture, hopecore videos, working out, and volunteering with dog rescues. My practice is an affirming, anti-oppressive, inclusive, and welcoming to all identities therapy practice. I strive to create accessible and inclusive spaces, both in-person and virtually.
