About My Clients

My practice focuses on youth & young adults ages 12-25. I am especially passionate about working with BIPOC youth. As a member of the BIPOC community, ensuring a safe, supportive space & practices that are culturally competent is a priority for me. It is important that all of my clients ultimately feel like the experts of their unique experiences, while working collaboratively with me to find solutions to any challenges they may be facing.

My Background and Approach

I have a Master’s in Social Work from Western Michigan University with a concentration in Interpersonal Practice, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work Associate. I have several years of experience working with youth who’ve struggled with acute & complex trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD & ASD, & sexually exploitive/risky behaviors. My background includes intensive outpatient and inpatient treatment, life skills coaching, special education services, and supports coordination. My clinical skills are rooted in trauma-informed practices utilizing evidence-based principles from Motivational Interviewing, CBT, CPT, PE & Collaborative Problem Solving. In our work together, you will learn helpful coping skills, enhance your sense of identity & self-confidence, build resilience, & progress towards your personal goals.
