My Background and Approach
I am a licensed therapist. I earned my MSW from University of Denver with an emphasis in mental health in 2017. My background includes providing counseling in schools, a grief counseling center, and at a Tribe. I am currently in school to become a sex therapist at the University of Michigan. I have specialized trauma training in EMDR and Level 1 and Level 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I operate through an all-inclusive lens, utilizing evidence-based practices from a person-centered, strength-based, LGBTQIA+ affirmative and trauma-informed perspective.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We can all feel a little overwhelmed when we experience a personal life hurdle. At times, having someone to listen and provide a non-judgmental space that promotes self-reflection, stability, and growth is extremely empowering. Life can feel amplified and invigorated if we can show compassion to ourselves, recognize our strengths or within our relationships, and make positive changes in ourselves and relationships. I love helping others and I utilize a collaborative holistic approach that incorporates trauma focused evidence based interventions.
