Dr. Visalli-Bettag has been involved with psychological assessment since 2014, and specialized in ADHD/Learning Disorder testing during her internship and postdoctoral fellowships between 2018 and 2020. She is licensed in the state of FL.

Dr. Visalli-Bettag has been providing psychological assessments since 2014 and attended an internship (University of Florida) and two year postdoctoral fellowship (Wesleyan University) focusing on ADHD/Learning Disorder concerns between 2018-2020. She has experienced working with children above the age of 6, adolescents, and adults seeking ADHD testing.

Dr. Zhou is a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida. She received her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota, which was one of the major historical contributors to the field of career and vocational psychology. Her experience with career, psychodiagnostics, and ADHD assessments were trained in a variety of settings that included college counseling, community mental health, and the VA.

Dr. Zhou completed her clinical training at the Phoenix VA with a focus on treating trauma related concerns, insomnia, chronic pain, and general psychology. She has a passion for working with individuals to find their strengths and gain a better understanding of themselves. Her approach to supporting individuals utilizes a culturally sensitive approach while incorporating evidence-based manualized treatments (including prolonged exposure and cognitive processing therapy).

Comprehensive ADHD and Learning Disorder Assessments include a thorough evaluation of your strengths and difficulties through a clinical interview, collecting information from collateral (people who know you), completing in person testing that includes evaluation of your executive functioning, memory, attention, social-emotional assessment, personality, academic testing, and self-report checklists. Once complete, I will put a formal report together with any relevant diagnoses and recommendations

CPT was developed specifically as a treatment for PTSD and has been extensively demonstrated to be an effective therapy for the reduction of post traumatic distress symptoms. There are two versions of CPT, one which includes exercises that address issues of avoidance around memories of your trauma and one which does not. Both are equally effective treatments, so which one you use will ultimately depend on your preference.

Prolonged exposure is an effective treatment for PTSD, especially when your PTSD symptoms include avoidance of trauma memories and people, places, or things that remind you of your trauma. In addition to PE, we also offer Exposure Therapy, which is a behavioral approach that has been found to be effective in treating specific phobias. As a disclaimer, both PE and Exposure Therapy will involve exposing you to the things that trigger your avoidance and fear.
