Painful and frustrating patterns find a way to keep appearing in life - whether it's how we treat ourselves, the ways we try to quiet our unruly emotions, the types of people we're drawn to, or the ways we engage in relationships. Things like self-sabotage, perfectionism, people pleasing, or lashing out when feeling triggered are all strategies developed to protect ourselves - and they can be so hard to let go of! We'll tune in to the emotion underneath and learn new ways to navigate the world.
My Background and Approach
Rooted in trauma-informed care, I draw from psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and interpersonal approaches. In therapy, we'll tune in to emotions that may have gone unheard in a contained and grounded way. Together, we'll uncover the painful patterns and stories that have been shaping your relationships (with yourself and others) and may be keeping you stuck. We'll create a non-judgmental and open environment, and in this space, these outdated ways of navigating the world will loosen their grip and create space for more curiosity, healing, and connection. Our work is deeply personal and always tailored to your goals. I'll meet you with compassion and honesty as we get to know you deeply and discover new ways of relating to current struggles.
