About My Clients
I regularly work with clients navigating complex trauma and neurodivergence, tailoring my approach through the lens of Relational Neuroscience. This means we are mindful of how your brain and nervous system have adapted to past experiences, and explore ways to create new patterns that support healing.
My Background and Approach
While I incorporate various therapeutic techniques in our sessions, my approach is rooted in Solution-Focused Therapy. This method is goal-oriented, future-focused, and typically brief, often lasting between 5 to 8 sessions. Together, we’ll explore the root causes of your distress and collaborate on a clear, practical path forward.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I most resonate with the values expressed in Liberatory Harm Reduction. I've put the definition from this article below: https://www.yesmagazine.org/health-happiness/2023/01/19/harm-reduction Liberatory Harm Reduction is a philosophy and set of empowerment-based practices that teach us how to accompany each other as we transform the root causes of harm in our lives. Liberatory Harm Reductionists support each other and our communities without judgment, stigma, or coercion, and we do not force others to change. We envision a world without racism, capitalism, patriarchy, misogyny, ableism, transphobia, policing, surveillance, and other systems of violence. Liberatory Harm Reduction is true self-determination and total body autonomy.
