About My Clients
I believe therapy is an opportunity to be compassionately curious about ourselves – to reflect on our experiences, patterns, losses, traumas, and relationships, and consider how they impact our wellbeing and our sense of self. I work with individual adults and couples and am trained in trauma treatment and have taken advanced training in grief counseling.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is about deep work as well as human connection and the relationship between therapist and client is the most crucial part of the process. I will never pretend to be the expert in your life and invite you to feel comfortable bringing everything into the room knowing it's a judgment free zone. I want to support you in your process of tending to the pieces of yourself and your story that often feel sticky or unapproachable and offer a space to explore ways to find peace and a sense of grounding. In addition to traditional talk therapy I offer art therapy as a tool to support your process. Art therapy gives you a chance to be present and playful and I love introducing clients to the experience so if you're curious give it a try!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are all capable of making lasting changes to our lives through intentional reflection, willingness to shift, and compassionate self-awareness. Tapping into our resiliency gives us a chance to feel empowered in creating the life we desire. I want to walk with you through your stories and offer tools to support your growth. Experiencing anxiety, depression, challenges in relationships, or noticing a "stuckness" in your life are all part of the human experience but when we feel a disconnect from ourselves having a source of accountability, empathy, and encouragement helps us feel seen and understood.
