About My Clients
I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. I will work with you to explore your story with a focus on how your personal strengths, feelings, relationships, and adaptive coping skills work together to promote wellbeing. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one, divorce, illness, severed relationship, job loss, or a traumatic event.
My Background and Approach
I will help you engage with your grief and meaningfully integrate this change into your life. My other areas of focus and special interests include anxiety, compassion fatigue/burnout, stress management, and women’s issues. I utilize an integrated approach that melds narrative, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed. My work also can include the use of the Enneagram, mindfulness exercises, and psychoeducation. I am dedicated to offering you a compassionate space, where you feel safe to engage with your story. I have over 15 years of providing leadership development, coaching, and psychoeducation and 5 years of mental health support. My education includes an undergrad degree in spiritual development, and graduate degrees in counseling and social work. I am currently pursuing certification in complicated grief therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in equitable communities and advocating for justice for marginalized communities (BIPOC, LGBTQ, disabilities). I have participated in Cultural Intelligence, diversity, and anti-racism trainings. I am in a learning community that addresses white privilege and engages in local advocacy for racial justice. I support the Loveland Foundation, an organization that provides access to therapy to Black women.
