About My Clients
I imagine you’re searching for a therapist because there are parts of your life you wish you could change. Are you tired of feeling anxious and stressed? Do you want to enjoy life’s little moments again? I am here to help you and will provide you with the skills and support you're looking for. I will listen to you, challenge you, and support you so that you can experience the growth and change you’ve been looking for.
My Background and Approach
I’m a millennial therapist with a modern approach. I show up as my authentic self to each session because I know how important it is to be able to trust and relate to your therapist. I will hype you up and celebrate your wins with you, and I will sit with you and help you process the tough stuff. I know firsthand that therapy works, and I am genuinely invested in every client I work with. My approach is collaborative because let’s be real - no one wants a therapist who just nods and asks, “and how does that make you feel” anymore. At the end of the day, you just want a therapist who gets it, and I get that. It is so important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. I work mostly with millennial women and teens dealing with anxiety, self esteem, and communication issues. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT), and Intuitive Eating.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my professional career, I’ve done a lot of different things besides being a Therapist. I have worked in inpatient substance abuse settings, schools, community centers, homeless shelters, and nonprofits. Most recently I worked in a senior leadership position at an NYC nonprofit where I managed several large programs, over $10 million annually, and a team of 70 people. I oversaw programs working with young adults and veterans - providing housing, mental health counseling, case management, and employment services. I have a lot of experience working with veterans and the LGBTQ community.
