About My Clients

It can be hard to intervene on your own behalf, but we can work on creating a sense of containment and accountability so that you can reap the fruits of your emotional work. I want to do so in a way that feels conducive to the nuances of you. We can work through barriers such as PTSD, lack of sleep, loss of pleasure, apathy, grief, shame, and interpersonal conflict. I want to help you break down your overwhelm and create a lifestyle that feels sustainable and cares for you.

My Background and Approach

I am a Psychotherapist by title and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker by trade. My experience is in crisis/ER, inpatient mental health, and outpatient group treatment for adults with mental illness and co-occurring disorders. I utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and HeartMath mindfulness techniques. My primary goal is to help you conceptualize and pivot into feelings of mental wellness in a way that resonates with you. I utilize tools such as Dimensions of Wellness to help you create a sustainable lifestyle and foundation of wellness to minimize mental health symptoms. We can work on strategies to cope with and maintain resilience in the face of difficult circumstances. Additionally, we can work on executive functioning skills, grief, or life transitions. I specialize in diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I go by she/her. I love working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not align with any religious organization but grew up Christian/Catholic and have knowledge, awareness, and acceptance of religious and spiritual practices. I consider myself a spiritual person and find connection in sharing and experiencing love, teaching, and nature. I utilize a social justice perspective and cultural perspective to help you understand how intersectionality, core beliefs, and values play into the way we see and understand ourselves in the world. I believe that we have the ability to create, shape, and project feelings of safety, happiness, and joy if we can learn to be our own friend, listen to our body and mind, and communicate our needs effectively. I utilize evolutionary psychology perspectives to help you understand our physiological drives so that we can hack our brains to better fit modern demands and work best with ourselves and our nervous systems.
