My Background and Approach
I am a licensed therapist in La Jolla who treats children, adolescents, and adults. I enjoy integrating evidence-based practices with the development of an empathic relationship in order to help others create a life that is fulfilling, rewarding, and worth living. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral problems. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. I went on to graduate with honors with a Master of Social Work degree from San Diego State University. I have received extensive psychotherapy training by the psychiatry departments at the University of California, San Diego and Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego. I actively advocate for the individuals I work with to practice self-care to enhance their sense of overall wellness. To practice my own self-care, I enjoy reading, jogging, spending time with my husband, and playing with my dog.
