About My Clients
I work with teens and adults who are interested in learning skills to improve their well-being. I have worked in addiction treatment, community health, and child and teen services. I am experienced in treating mental health issues related to substance use disorders and chronic illness.
My Background and Approach
I have practiced individual therapy and group therapy over the past ten years. I teach skills in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, mindfulness theory and practice, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I have studied Eastern philosophies and mindfulness theory and have participated in, and led sessions in mindfulness practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in mindfulness principles of compassion, non-attachment, living with intention, and serving the community. I combines these principles with the cognitive skills for “rewiring” thought patterns. Together, these skills facilitate meaningful change in the mind and heart.
