Being a teen can be challenging and confusing. I work with teens and their families to improve communication and build healthier relationships. I explore patterns and introduce strategies to interrupt those patterns. I encourage teens to explore who they want to become as they move towards adulthood and gain more independence.

Relationships can be challenging from family, friends, and romantic partners, to bosses, teachers, and co-workers. Within all of these relationships, it is important to feel confident in communicating your needs and wants. Together, we will explore those needs and wants as well as why it may be difficult to communicate these.

Anxiety can show up in many ways and looks different for everyone. I take the time to learn and understand your anxiety and encourage you to listen to what anxiety may be communicating to you. I believe that emotions are signals for us, and it is our responsibility to learn when they are telling us something and when they may be off because of past experiences. Throughout this time of exploration, we will also work together for you to build skills and gain tools to navigate your anxiety.

Somatic Counseling focuses on the mind-body connection. Our body often gives us cues about our emotions and needs, and sometimes it is difficult to notice and understand these needs. By using a somatic approach, one will learn to trust and listen to what your body is communicating.

Internal Family Systems works from the view that we have developed parts throughout our lives that play different roles in our lives. Through using IFS, you explore the parts that are both helpful and unhelpful and take time to understand and care for these different "parts" of yourself.

Emotionally Focused Therapy is geared to gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and those you are in relationship with. Relationships naturally bring challenges, and our differences can make tough moments feel even more complex. That’s why it’s essential to slow down, communicate openly, and move with intention. Together, we’ll identify shared goals and take the time needed to honor those goals and the needs of everyone involved.
