About My Clients
You may be someone who has done a lot of inner work already and is thoughtful, self-aware, & may have spent years in talk therapy. You may also be new to therapy & simply noticing that anxiety, low mood, or shutdown are getting in the way of how you want to live. You might understand why these patterns exist, or you may just know that your body feels tense, overwhelmed, or disconnected. When insight alone has not brought the relief you hoped for, it can feel deeply taxing.
My Background and Approach
My approach is person-centered, holistic & deeply attuned. Grounded in an understanding of neuroscience, I integrate somatic psychology, EMDR, mindfulness, Gestalt, parts work & creative exploration. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, we draw from these modalities thoughtfully & collaboratively, based on what your system needs in the moment. I often describe my role as a kind of guide or GPS. You bring the wisdom; together, we identify possible "trailheads" to explore, whether through body awareness, memory reprocessing, creative expression, or relational inquiry. Some paths may feel immediately supportive, others may take time to unfold. My role is to help you orient, stay resourced and move toward less suffering and more ease.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Naropa University graduate, I hold a deep belief in each person’s innate capacity for healing and goodness. I strive to create a therapeutic space rooted in belonging, unconditional positive regard, and collaboration, where clients can reconnect with their strengths, gifts and their true nature, which I believe is love. My work is also informed by years of experience working with disadvantaged youth and a strong commitment to service and social justice through my volunteerism.
