About My Clients
Most of the kids and teens I work with feel things deeply. They might worry a lot, get easily overwhelmed, struggle with friendships, or shut down when emotions feel too big. Parents often tell me their child is kind and capable, but something just feels off. My clients usually want to feel calmer, more confident, and better understood, but they are not sure how to get there yet.
My Background and Approach
I work with children, teens, and young adults, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know who they are, not just what they are struggling with. I have experience supporting kids through anxiety, low mood, social challenges, and big life changes, including co-leading a group for elementary-aged children who had a loved one struggling with addiction. When we work together, we talk about real things. School stress. Friendship drama. Feeling different. Feeling stuck. Feeling like your brain won’t slow down. I help clients understand what their thoughts and feelings are trying to tell them and figure out what actually helps when those moments show up. We focus on practical tools, small shifts, and building confidence over time, not pressure or perfection.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe kids and teens do better when they feel understood instead of corrected. I care a lot about showing up consistently, noticing the little things, and helping clients feel proud of themselves along the way. I value kindness, honesty, and meeting people where they are, even when things feel messy. Outside of sessions, I love fall weather, iced coffee, crafting, and cheering on Philly sports teams. I am a big dog person, and my dogs, Macy and Coco, make me smile every day. I bring that same down-to-earth, genuine energy into my work so therapy feels less intimidating and more like a place you can actually be yourself.
