About My Clients
Reaching out for support takes courage, and you've already taken an important first step toward creating positive change. Now, let's make sure that you know who is accompanying you on this journey!
My Background and Approach
With more than 28 years of experience in mental health and addiction treatment, my approach is eclectic, practical and solution-focused. I help individuals gain clarity, overcome obstacles, and move forward with confidence - successfully. I specialize in trauma, substance use/addiction and mood disorders; I integrate evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, MI and SFBT to identify actionable solutions that you can begin using right away. Exploring root causes of current challenges and shifting present perspectives are made easier when comfort and confidence are your foundation! My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and empowered to achieve results. We will make a powerful and winning team. (Trust me, it's no gimmick - 100% of my clients have reported symptom reduction within 1-2 sessions.) Ready to get started? I am all in...let's get to work!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should have a purpose. My approach is focused, collaborative, and oriented toward meaningful change—not the idea that therapy occurs indefinitely. I believe you are your own greatest resource, and my role is to help you recognize your strengths, develop practical tools, and learn how to use them in ways that work for your life. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Different people need different approaches, and sometimes we simply need a “tune-up,” a new perspective, or support navigating a particularly difficult challenge. Trust and teamwork are essential to that process. Ultimately, I see successful therapy as helping you need therapy less—not because life stops being challenging, but because you trust yourself and have the tools to navigate those challenges independently. There is something deeply rewarding about watching someone discover what they are capable of and carry that confidence forward on their own.
