My Background and Approach
I have extensive background in body-centered/somatic interventions from 20-years experience as a AMTA certified massage therapist and my complex trauma certification. I utilize my somatic-based approaches as a direct pathway in helping my clients heal and make meaning of traumatic experiences. My focus is to empower clients to connect to body and self through awareness skills. I encourage further inner strength within the individual, and through sustaining connections to support systems, resources, and community. Tapping into strengths, values, and personal growth is my mission. A deeper understanding of self comes from an unwavering curiosity about the unique messages from behaviors, emotions, thought patterns, and the body.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I advocate for equality and equity. Every individual has a unique narrative about their lived experience, worthy of being heard and understood. It takes perseverance and strength to move through the labyrinth of life and the complex human condition. Being genuine, vulnerable, and authentic with one another is vital to developing and sustaining interpersonal connection. I see growth and knowledge that comes from the painful and difficult adversities in life. The human experience is a shared experience among all of us. We should never walk this path of life alone.
