Anxiety can be extremely powerful if we allow it to be. Not allowing it to have that power over us is easier said than done. There are so many methods to help overcome anxiety. Anxiety stems from our primitive cave man brain. Often our amygdala acts like its a fire alarm constantly going off with anxiety disorders. I encourage focusing on facts in order to get our cognitive brain to reason with our primitive brain. Speaking to a qualified therapist can be helpful in assisting with this.

Bipolar disorder is treatable and more manageable than some may think. Understanding triggers and identifying warning signs can be key to success. Working with a mental health professional can help guide that self awareness train and promote healthy coping skills in order to encouraging living one's best life.

PTSD is not just something those who have been to war experience. PTSD is actually very common and it is our brain's response to a traumatic experiences of all sorts. Working with a mental health professional can pave the way to find a treatment methododogly specifically for the patient. When a traumatic experience occurs, our brains don't always process/store information properly. My goal is to help my clients figure out how to calm the amygdala in order to start processing events.

ACT is essentially learning to roll with the emotions that are naturally coming to the surface. We accept that we do not have power over the emotions we experience and commit to being with our emotions versus fighting them.

CBT is breaking down events in order to understand how cognitive distortions can have a negative effect on our emotions and actions. Learning how to rationalize our thoughts in the moment can have a postive effect on the emotions we experience and our behavior.

Substance and alcohol use disorders, gambling addiction, food addiction, etc. When others try to tell us that we NEED to do in order to make changes in our life, this can lead to feeling defeated and/or defensive. MI is an approach that helps clients come to change terms that work best for them while promoting intrinsic motivation for positive changes in one's life.
