About My Clients
Have you ever thought no one else cares or could possibly relate to what you’re going through? Maybe you’ve tried therapy before and been disappointed. Wherever you are, whether it’s living with immense loss, reliving something unimaginable, stuck in a cycle of numbness and indifference, unable to shake anxiety, or just feeling stuck, my hope is to join you and together uncover and understand what’s going on in the inside, in order to unlock new ways of relating to yourself and the world.
My Background and Approach
I started out in the mental health field, as many do, with a pretty vague idea about "just wanting to help people." I spent the next 10 years figuring out exactly how I would do this. I started out working in an international school setting with children who experienced trauma and their families, and quickly understood the connection between felt-safety and attachment needs. This pushed me to study attachment and neurobiology of trauma. In 2022, I took a deep dive into experiential psychotherapies for trauma and something really clicked. I am trained in parts work (Internal Family systems-informed), Emotion-focused therapy, and most recently in Coherence Therapy (previously known as Depth-Oriented Brief Therapy). I am in an ongoing consultation group for Coherence Therapy and expect to be level-one certified in Coherence Therapy in the next 6 months. I am committed to a non-pathologizing, relational approach to psychotherapy.
