About My Clients
Feeling overwhelmed? Has COVID-19 had a significant impact on your and your family? Have you thought about counseling many times but wasn't sure it was for you? I work with children (ages 6+), adolescents and adults. My areas of specialty and interest are in anxiety, self-esteem, Autism, grief, stress management, and families. I work with you on focusing on your strengths and solutions and help fill your toolbox with strategies to cope and overcome anxiety, low self-esteem, grief and more.
My Background and Approach
From a young age, I knew that I wanted to help people and that my path would take me in that direction. That led me to obtaining my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from East Stroudsburg University and then a Masters of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work with a Clinical specialization in Children and Families. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Psychology through California Southern University. I have worked in various settings including the Department of Social Services, transitional housing program, public school, nonpublic special education school, an inpatient hospital psychiatric unit, an outpatient mental health center, and behavior health managed care. These diverse settings have allowed me the opportunity to work with children, adolescents and adults and learn a whole person approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we should all be unified in respecting, supporting and helping one another in this complicated world. I am an advocate for treating others with equality and integrity while recognizing the oppression many have encountered and still do deal with today.
