About My Clients
Issues like fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, reproductive trauma, and perinatal mental health are often unspoken. The silence surrounding these experiences can create feelings of shame and isolation, along with pressure to appear fine even when struggling. These feelings are understandable, and you are not "crazy" or alone for experiencing them. You are human, and you will get through this.
My Background and Approach
For over 15 years, I’ve worked in various mental health settings. Much of my work has focused on child development, youth mental health and trauma, as well as family issues. As I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I became passionate about reproductive health as a result of the difficulties I faced on my path to motherhood. I have completed and continue to seek out extensive continuing education in women’s issues and reproductive concerns. Whether it be navigating issues of fertility, grieving the loss of a pregnancy, suffering mental health setbacks while pregnant or trying to keep your head above water while learning the new role of being a parent, none of it’s easy and none of us are perfect. However, it can be so helpful to not walk this path alone. But so many don’t know there’s help, even people like me who have worked in mental health for many years may not be aware of all the risks, protective factors, treatments, resources and so on.
