About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing OCD and trauma. Many clients come to me experiencing excessive thoughts and worry that just won't stop. This can feel overwhelming and isolating, especially when these thoughts don’t reflect who you really are.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Colorado and Nevada, specializing in trauma and OCD. My approach is compassionate, direct, and grounded in evidence-based treatment. I use ERP, along with skills from DBT, to help you reduce worry, build tolerance to distress, and change your relationship with intrusive thoughts. I also use EMDR to help clients process what's been stuck for years and move forward towards growth. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more like yourself and helping you gain a sense of peace. That looks different for everyone. For some clients it's understanding their brain well enough to stop fighting it. For others, it's releasing the self blame you've carried and no longer having triggers send you into a spiral. I offer free 15 minute consultations to discuss what treatment can look like for you, and how we can work together to achieve your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal beliefs are rooted in the idea that people are not broken but they’re often stuck in patterns that once made sense, but no longer serve them. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel both supported and challenged; where you can show up as you are, while also doing meaningful work toward change. I value honesty, self-awareness, and growth, and I bring that into the therapy room in a way that feels collaborative and grounded. I’m not a “just sit back and nod” therapist. I’ll offer direct, thoughtful feedback and help you look at patterns, especially the ones that feel hard to face but are important to understand.
