About My Clients
I specialize in supporting trans and queer folks navigating gender, sexuality, relationships, and the emotional weight that often comes with living authentically. I’ve worked with trans youth and adults navigating identity, family dynamics, and systemic barriers, and have supported clients with complex trauma, mood disorders, and attachment wounds. In addition to this, I have training to support folks in relationships that are navigating poly, cnm, or open relationship dynamics.
My Background and Approach
I received my clinical training at Naropa University studying Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling. My work is deeply relational, meaning that I pay close attention to what’s unfolding between us and within you, right here in the moment. This type of approach helps you tune into your emotions and patterns as they arise, creating space for real, lasting change. In addition to this, I weave together mindfulness, somatic (body-based) practices, practical skills for regulation and distress tolerance, and deep exploration of self and attachment, all while acknowledging the weight of the current sociopolitical climate, especially with its impact on queer and trans lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Throughout my life, I’ve been deeply involved in LGBTQ+ and trans advocacy. My therapeutic work is inseparable from my advocacy: I believe healing is political, personal, and possible when we are held with care. In my own healing journey, therapy gave me the permission I needed to listen to myself. The gratitude I feel toward my therapist and therapy alike allowed me to recognize my inner calling to walk beside you on your healing journey. I trust the therapeutic space can be a place to reconnect with your truth and build a more loving relationship with yourself.
