My Background and Approach
I have worked in the Mental Health field for over 10 years, working in various settings, including addiction services. My experience has included helping others gain a better sense of self, challenge negative thought patterns, fight addictive behaviors and establish healthier relationships. I have worked with couples and families, improving communication and learning how to resolve their issues in healthier ways.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I know that change is hard and it takes time. Working with a therapist is a very personal and vulnerable experience that takes a lot of courage. I believe that we continue to change throughout our lives and are held back by unhealthy belief sets that have been instilled in us. I have seen people challenge these unhealthy thought patterns and gain more positive outlooks on life. I believe that people can change and you can live the life you deserve.
