Are you looking for a counselor who believes that counseling requires a trusting relationship between the counselor and the client? Are you looking for someone who is excited to work with you and help you explore your own path forward rather than simply handing you an answer? I know how frustrating it can be when it feels like a counselor is serving as an instructor rather than working with you. I believe effective counseling is a team sport and am excited to get to work with you.
My Background and Approach
Degrees and professional experience are important, but what's more important is finding the right fit for your counselor. I am a believer that a healthy counseling relationship is key to therapeutic progress. I believe that laughter can at times, be an important part of progress and healing. People often think that counseling has to be stuffy or serious, but if that's not who you are, you may find it does not lead you to progress. I try to create a therapeutic space that allows people to share openly and honestly. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and that you have the ability to make progress towards your goals. I believe that counseling looks different for every person, and strive to create a personalized experience for all clients. I have Unique experience working in the areas of anxiety, depression, emotional regulation and communication as well as with PTSD.
