My Background and Approach
I am trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) and support moms and dads in the process of being parents and the changes that come as well as the mental health difficulties that may arise. I am trained in working with clients who have OCD or who have behaviors that are avoidant, excessive, repetitive, and distressing and/or have thoughts that are intrusive, persistent, and distressing. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are having difficulty with relationships, emotional struggles, daily stressors, and wanting to learn social-emotional and behavioral skills. I tailor counseling and treatment to meet the client's needs. I use evidence-based models and individualize treatment for each client and their circumstances. I help clients learn mindfulness, behavior skills, emotional regulation, thought processing, self-management, conflict resolution, and other life skills.
