About My Clients

Tired of feeling stuck, irritable, and like you’re pulling away to self-preserve? Worn down from being bullied by your own inner critic, keeping you either stuck in indecision & self-doubt or shut down & indifferent? Externally, you’re dependable and have it together. Inside, you're running on empty. Maybe you’ve prioritized your family, your job, or survival. It’s clear it's time for an oxygen mask. You want to understand yourself, feel more in control, more grounded, and able to handle life.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in helping adults who’ve experienced trauma identify the deeper roots of their anxiety/depression, break free from self-doubt, connect deeply, and feel more empowered to live mindfully in the present. I’ll help you learn to understand and accept uncomfortable feelings, develop coping skills, and make positive changes that align with your values. A lot of folks worry about having to talk about their feelings. While we'll definitely explore feelings, we'll also work on tuning in to bodily sensations for a bottom-up approach.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm a white, cisgender, queer clinician committed to anti-racism practice, cultural humility, and accountability. I believe therapy should involve: a supportive, non-stuffy environment where you can come as you are; looking at the influences of early experiences and familial and sociocultural messaging on your understanding of yourself, others, and the world around you; getting curious about how thoughts and behaviors help meet your needs, and ways they can be improved to better serve you; unearthing the roots of issues so we can heal at the source; being affirmed and validated, while also being respectfully challenged at times; learning to sit together in the uncomfortable; and humor. Therapy can be deep, challenging work but that doesn’t mean there can’t be some levity and laughs along the way!
