About My Clients
Many of my clients have navigated challenging life experiences, overwhelming emotions, and confusing relationship dynamics (in families or with partners). My clinical focus and passion is working with clients navigating complex traumas, intimate partner violence, family violence, sexual assault, and abuse as a child. In recent years, I've also developed a specialty working with parents of children with special needs.
My Background and Approach
I integrate a variety of modalities into my work with clients, including taking a strengths-based, client-centered approach, while also blending CBT techniques, systems theory, psychoeducation, and of course, trauma-informed care. I'm also in the process of getting trained in EMDR therapy to further support my clients' healing journeys.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My first MSW internship at an outpatient domestic violence agency helped me discover my passion for helping clients heal from traumatic events. I love learning from my clients and colleagues and finding new ways to grow personally and professionally. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, kayaking, reading, and spending time with my Chihuahua, Mila.
