About My Clients
I work primarily with adolescents and young adults, ages 13-35. I work best with people in the LGBTQ community and/or who are neurodivergent, including ADHD and Autism. I also enjoy working with people with substance use disorders, complex trauma, and dissociative symptoms.
My Background and Approach
I started practicing therapy to help others with queer and neurodivergent identities to live their most fulfilling and authentic lives. Too often, people in our communities experience pressure to “be normal” and fit into a box that wasn’t made for us, leading us to shrink the most unique parts of us and disconnect from our sense of self. I believe that healing from mental illness and trauma is not possible when we are keeping part of ourselves hidden. My goal is to empower people to be radically and authentically themselves, build skills to cope with challenges, and live a more rich & meaningful life. I take a radical feminist and anti-capitalist approach to therapy, exploring the impact that oppression and discrimination has on one's mental health and well-being. I believe each client is the expert of their own lives, and I work in collaboration with my clients to find the treatment approach that works best for them.
