About My Clients
I believe that we all experience trauma at some point in our lives whether we recognize it or not. Unaddressed trauma affects all aspects of our lives - school, work, parenting and relationships. Initially, my goal is to help individuals understand and identify trauma and how it impacts everyday living. As the therapeutic process continues, I will aid in creating new healthy pathways of thinking as well as how to react and respond to triggers that result from past traumatic events.
My Background and Approach
As a trauma-informed therapist, I have special training and interest in providing EMDR therapy as a helping aid. I utilize a strength-based, person centered approach with my clients in a warm and welcoming environment to promote a safe space for healing. I focus on mindfulness, coping skills, and resilience to enhance health and well being of each client. I understand how tricky and challenging life can be when we feel stuck, alone, shamed, or isolated.
