About My Clients
In my clinical work, I often partner with clients experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, trauma, and identity and adjustment issues. While I see many different clients, I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients, those who are navigating complex trauma, and those who have experienced religious/spiritual abuse or manipulation. I work with older adolescents, adults, and older adults.
My Background and Approach
I have over 4 years of clinical experience across outpatient, residential, and school-based settings. I ground my therapeutic practice in Relational Cultural Theory (RCT), and I have experience using Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Structural Family Therapy (SFT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), and Narrative Therapy. Therapy with me is grounded in deep empathy, creativity, curiosity, and a belief that meaningful change happens through safe, collaborative relationships. My goal is to help clients build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, values-aligned change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens through authentic, growth-fostering relationships. Therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong” with a person, but about understanding their experiences in context and restoring connections to self, others, and community. I approach therapy as a collaborative process in which clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them with curiosity, humility, and care. I work from a relational–cultural perspective that recognizes how isolation, disconnection, and systemic oppression impact well-being. I believe emotional pain often makes sense given a person’s relational and cultural environment, and that growth occurs through mutual empathy, empowerment, and meaningful connection. I strive to create a therapy space that is culturally responsive, affirming, and attentive to power, identity, and social context.
