About My Clients
Much of my experience has been working with older adolescents (ages 18-23), though I am comfortable working with adolescents aged 13+, adults, and couples. My work experience includes (but is not limited to) working with the following: depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD, eating disorders, ADHD, relationship difficulties, grief related disorders, and personal growth.
My Background and Approach
I have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. I am currently licensed as a Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), and am close to completing requirements for full licensure. I work primarily using CBT and EFT, but will approach each session based on client needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are to help carry each other’s burdens [Galatians 6:2], and to be a light amongst darkness. I enjoy incorporating faith and Scripture into session and am experienced in doing so, but I also respect client autonomy and will only incorporate if expressed desire from the client is given. I believe therapy is an individualized experience and it will look different for every client and with every therapist. Therapy is a balance that gives what it is given and only works when the client works.
